Login Verification

To help keep your account safe and secure, Login Verification will now be a mandatory step before you can access the FUT Web App. Some players may see this step as soon as December 9th, and all players will see it by December 12th.

You'll receive a numeric pass code that is generated for you personally, that will be needed to log-in to your account. These codes are generated when you need them, and are only valid for a short period of time to ensure maximum personal code security.

This will require you to do the following:

1. Turn on your Login Verification information.
You will only have to do this once, and it will work across all EA games that use Login Verification.
2. If you choose Email rather than SMS, make sure your account email is a valid, working email address (one you check often).
3. Lastly, you will need to create or verify your FIFA Ultimate Team Secret question and answer.

After completing these steps, you'll be ready to start a match and shoot for glory!

To turn on Login Verification:

1. Head to your Origin Account's Account Management page, and find the Login Verification section under the Security tab
2. Activate Login Verification and choose whether to have your codes sent by email or by phone.
3. You'll now be sent a code either by email or phone when attempting to log-in from an untrusted device, and every 90 days when logging in from trusted devices, helping to make sure only you and your unique code will be able to get into your Origin Account.

You can choose to select "Remember this device" so your device will not require a security code in the future.

After you've activated Login Verification, a set of emergency, or backup, codes will be generated for use whenever you don't have your phone handy when trying to log in.

How do I find my backup codes?

You can view, or renew, these codes by heading to your Origin Account and Privacy settings in the Origin client or online, going to the Security tab, and clicking View next to Backup Codes.

We highly recommend keeping these codes in a safe, but memorable and accessible place, such as saving a screenshot to your My Documents folder, writing it down on a notecard, or, even better, both. If you start running out of backup codes, you can always generate more through your Account Management page.
