TOTW Predictions Week 12

Goalkeeper

Felix Wiedwald - GK - 71 OVR
Frankfurt added to Dortmund's misery this week with a 2-0 win. This leaves Dortmund at the foot of the table after 13 games. Dortmund might have come away with some points however if it was not for the excellence of Wiedwald as he made a total of six saves to keep Dortmund at bay.

Defenders

Gaël Clichy  - LB - 80 OVR
Although I think that there are better alternatives to Clichy this week I can't see there not being an IF from the City vs Southampton game. With high flying Southampton sitting in second pre game it made the game a must win for City. City managed it with ease after winning 3-0 away from home with the latter two coming as they were down to 10 men. Clichy scored the third and final goal in the dying minutes which I think might just get him into the side this week.

Loïc Perrin - CB - 80 OVR
Although it was Gradel who received MOTM in ST Etienne vs Lyon I can't see two assists being enough for a silver striker. Perin is then the next best alternative after he was a brick wall at the back to help Etienne keep their clean sheet in the top of the table clash.

Glen Johnson - RB - 76 OVR
Personally I am not a fan of Johnson but nevertheless he should make the cut this week after scoring Liverpool's only goal as they scraped a 1-0 win at home to Stoke.

Midfielders

Carlos Vela - RM - 82 OVR
David Moyes started his Sociedad campaign in style after he guided them to a 3-0 home win against Elche. Vela will claim all the headlines alongside Moyes after he was the one to score all three of Sociedad's goals.

Florian Thauvin  - LM - 77 OVR
Thauvin scored once and assisted another as Marseille won 2-0 against Nantes to stay at the top of Ligue 1. There are multiple Ligue 1 midfielder who received an 8/10 from L'equipe this week, however I feel that Thauvin will be the player to make the team this week.

Miralem Pjanić  - CM - 83 OVR
Pjanic helped Roma to a very important three points as Roma beat Inter 4-2. Pjanic decided the game with the third and fourth Roma goals after the teams were locked level at two a piece. He received an 8/10 from gazetta which in such an important game will be enough to see him into the side.

Matías Fernández  - CM - 78 OVR
The second Serie A CM this week is Fernandez whom like Pjanic scored twice and received an 8 from Gazzetta. Fiorentina walked to a 4-0 win away at Cagliari. Fernandez scored the first two Fiorentina goals before Gomez and Cuadrado completed the rout.

Forwards

Óscar Cardozo  - ST - 79 OVR
Just as I had the prediction complete Cardozo went and scored a hat trick. Cattermole/Mangane were the players to make way after Cardozo scored a hat trick for Trabzonspor as they beat Genclerbirligi 4-1. I am not 100% sure if EA are counting Monday games so if he does not make it I will leave them out for future reference. Mangane would be in had I not have picked Cardozo.

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar - ST - 84 OVR
I wrongly selected Huntelaar just a couple of weeks ago however there is no doubt in my mind that he will feature this time after finding the back of the net on three occasions for Schalke alongside assisting another as Schlake walked to a 4-1 win at home to Mainz.

Carlos Bacca - ST - 81 OVR
Bacca scored twice for Sevilla as they smashed Granada 5-1, personally I cant see anything other than relegation for Granada. He received an 8/10 from Marca which should be enough this week.

Substitutes

Didier Ovono Ebang - GK - 68 OVR
Ebang made a total of five saves including a last minute penalty save to help Oostende to a 0-0 draw. Alternatively Johansson could make it who mad 7 saves as 9 men Randers won 1-0.

Gwak Hae Sung - LB - 59 OVR
Hopefully the K-League is not overlooked as although Gwak on paper only got a goal and clean sheet it will be the most important goal he scores in his life. Gwak scored a last minute screamer in order to guide his side to a 1-0 win. That win meant that him and his side sty in the K-league next year! If you have not seen the goal it is well worth watching.

Karim Bellarabi - RM - 75 OVR
Bellarabi scored twice for Leverkusen as they smashed Cologne 5-1. He received a 1.5 rating from Kicker alongside Drmic however I feel that Bellarabi will be in after his performance.

Nathan Burns - RW- 63 OVR
Midfield hat tricks make my job so much easier and that's exactly what Burns has done after scoiring three of his sides five goals as they cruised to a 5-1 win at home to Melbourne City.

Shkëlzen Gashi  - LM - 68 OVR
I am taking a bit of a punt on Gashi after he scored both of Basels goals in the biggest game of the Swiss league. Basel came out victors thanks to Gashi's goals as they won 2-1 away to Zurich. The winner came late on in the 94th minute which will make him stand out even more.

Benik Afobe - ST - 64 OVR
MK Dons showed just what they are capable of this weekend after managing to put six goals past Colchester. Afobe grabbed three of those goals to claim his spot in this weeks prediction.

Pablo Granoche - ST - 69 OVR
Let's end the prediction with the easiest call of the week. Granoche scored all four of Modena's goals as they beat Crotone 4-1.
